MOVING DAY

[ the school grounds are swamped with cargo-filled vehicles, and people all around are exchanging teary-eyed goodbyes with family members and lugging heavy bags full of their belongings around. it's going to be a busy day of settling in, newcomers, but you can probably commiserate and help each other bring in your belongings, before relaxing outside with ice cream that the RAs are giving out as a reward for your efforts. fun times! ]

First year?

Yes, but just starting late. I'm supposed to be in year 2 but I got held back one. [Due to that fight the year before...]

Starting late, huh? I've never heard of that before... [she shrugs] Well, that's okay!

[she'll be going on ahead and taking your luggage there]

So where do you want to go? No charge, just tell all your friends about the Jersey Club!

I was a year behind basically back home, so it equated to year 1 here.

Room 202. It's not too far from here I think...

Oooh, I get it! Where are you from?

[Madoka nods] You're not too far off. [she offers the younger a kind smile, then a pat on the head.] You did good, getting this close on your own. Ready to get all the way there?

Ah, Japan. I'm from the city of Uminari.

[Nanoha nodded, smiling.] Okay! Lets go!

You too? That's great! [not that where people are from matters, but it makes the homesick part of her happy all the same] I'm from Kamogawa!

Right! C'mon...! [she starts walking, in a march, luggage in tow.] I'm Madoka, by the way. What's your name?

Oh that's nice then! I'm Nanoha. Nice to meet you Madoka.

[greenflower]

You too, Nanoha! I bet you're gonnna have a lot of fun here.

I'm starting to think so too! [Nanoha smiled as she followed Madoka up the stairs.]

Already? [a briiight smile as she takes Nanoha down the hall now] That's great.

Yeah! I'm missing my friends of course but they're happy for me, and I've got my phone and laptop to talk with them.

How hi-tech! Not too shabby, Nanoha.

-- Ah! Looks like we're here already.

Ah yes, we are. Thank you again Madoka, it's really appreciated.

[she sets the luggage down and nods to the door]

Are you okay from here, or do you want help unpacking?

I should be okay for the time being. I'll see you again maybe for ice cream?

Sure thing! Where should I meet you?

In front of the dorms perhaps?
