MOVING DAY

[ the school grounds are swamped with cargo-filled vehicles, and people all around are exchanging teary-eyed goodbyes with family members and lugging heavy bags full of their belongings around. it's going to be a busy day of settling in, newcomers, but you can probably commiserate and help each other bring in your belongings, before relaxing outside with ice cream that the RAs are giving out as a reward for your efforts. fun times! ]

[She looks up at the clouds, wiping a hand on her shorts before resting it on her hip.]

A kind where everybody can hear me....or something.

I may look like this, but I'm a musical artist, you know!

A musical artist... What sort? Do you play an instrument?

Not quite!

[And she hums to herself, twirling around in a circle before striking a pose. This totally means she sings. Yes.]

Definitely come to my concert, okay?

You... dance? A dancing concert? [She's really trying to figure it out.]

Eh, you'll see. I'm takin' that music course, so there'll be performances sooner or later.

Ah, right... I wasn't aware this school offered music courses.

[What does she say, that she looks forward to it? She doesn't even know what it is, but -- it's polite, anyway.]

[She fans herself. Now that she's done with her ice cream she's gotten hot again.]

Guess I'll be seeing you there - and around, too. Gettin' involved's the best way to adjust, right...

I would think so. I hear there will be a club fair soon, hopefully we'll see each other.

[She nods in a semi-bow.] It was nice meeting you.

Mm! [She bobs her head right back.]

See you there! And stay cool, you hear?

[And off she goes to try to neatly eat ice cream, a task that will surely fail.]
