MOVING DAY
[ the school grounds are swamped with cargo-filled vehicles, and people all around are exchanging teary-eyed goodbyes with family members and lugging heavy bags full of their belongings around. it's going to be a busy day of settling in, newcomers, but you can probably commiserate and help each other bring in your belongings, before relaxing outside with ice cream that the RAs are giving out as a reward for your efforts. fun times! ]

[Help? Did she fail to make it clear that she definitely doesn't need any?] Give me a break. If we're both looking for the same thing, it's not really a matter of one person helping the other. We might as well walk together, though. Come on! [And now she's hauling the carriage down the hall.] I'm Sanary, by the way — in case you weren't paying attention when they sent out room information.

[Talk about abrasive personality. Youmu hefts her bags up a little, then follows after her. Come on, pleasantries, Youmu, pleasantries.]
I do remember your name from the informational packet I received. It's nice to meet you at last, I'm sure we'll, ah, get along just fine.

Huh! Looks like there is an elevator down here after all! [What a relief! ...Except that it looks like the monster luggage carriage might not actually be able to fit into it.] ...oh. You... may need to go ahead.
no subject
[She turns back to the stairs.] I'll see you at the room, I suppose!
no subject
[And now to cram herself and all her stuff into the elevator. At least it's a short ride.]

[At the top of the stairs, she locates the room and digs in her pocket for the key, twisting the knob open with it and stepping inside. It's a nice room, quite sizable for a dormitory. Two beds, one on each side of the room... Ahh, which one should she take? They're more or less the same, of course, but it's going to be where she sleeps for quite awhile, she'd best choose carefully.]
[Standing out of the doorway, she ponders the two beds.]
no subject
[Sanary comes in right behind you, looking mildly disappointed and out of breath.]
I guess that means you get to pick sides. Just don't take too long at it. I want to get unpacked as soon as possible and go exploring.

[Ponder. Ponder. This is an important decision, not one to take lightly. Definitely not one to take lightly. It will be her bed for quite some time, she must make this decision with utmost thought and consideration of all pros and cons.]
[She... places... a bag on the left bed.]
[Yes.]
[This is a good decision.]
[She nods.]

Some of this was actually packed inside of the refrigerator and microwave.
The floor and desk space on the right side of the room is soon dominated and subdued. Sanary looks it over approvingly, clearly pleased with her own practicality. Ah yes, she is prepared for anything!]
no subject
Do you train, as well? What style do you practice? Perhaps if the school allows it we could train together!
[Oh boy OH BOY DID SHE LUCK OUT WITH A ROOMMATE, this is splendid. Splendid!]
no subject
I'm going to join the official team or club, obviously, but I'm up for private training too if you are!
no subject
[She hums and begins to unload her clothes and toiletries, not having much else in her bags.]
no subject
So then, what, uh, style do you practice?
...can I see those? Are they sharp?

[Sanary exams the swords carefully and just barely manages to restrain herself from stabbing the air with them. Cool, cool, cool! ...But kind of a problem. She'd figured her sabre wouldn't violate the no weapons policy since it's dull and buttoned and not really much more dangerous than a large stick. That argument might not sound as convincing if there are actual swords lying around the dorm room, though.] Where do you plan to keep these?
no subject
[She watches her study them, not very worried... until she poses the question.] Ah, well, I was thinking about just keeping them under my bed here, but... W-Well, I mentioned very briefly that I had them when I applied, but I was not told I couldn't bring them, that only firearms were forbidden, if I recall... Do you think it will be an issue?
no subject
Well, if they told you that, I'm sure it's fine! If someone has a problem with it, you can just direct them to whoever gave you the go-ahead.
I guess I should have asked this earlier, but what year are you? I'm year four.
no subject
Ah, I'm your senior them! I'm a fifth year. [Smile!] I'll be sure to look after you. [--Oh, she might not take that well -- ] If you need it, that is...!

Re: [2/2]
[Man, she's never considered herself that. If anything, one of the reasons she came here was to become one... or at least gain the discipline of one.]
W-Well, I'll do my best!
Re: [2/2]
Let's both do our best.

We'll give it our all.
